If you're looking for a real estate agent you can trust, you're in the right place.
Selling property is something Scot does well because of his ability to bring people together in working towards a goal. Being friendly, knowledgeable, honest and candid has led Scot to be a real estate agent that people trust and come back to. He has been encouraged by how clients praised his ability to market, negotiate, and close a sale, while maintaining high ethics.
When it's time to sell real estate, Scot guides and consults people throughout the process, markets the property for sale, helps the sellers find the best buyer, negotiates the best deal possible, and amicably works with all parties involved to make sure the sales process is completed properly. It's a mix of sales, marketing, communication and project management. When someone wants to invest in real estate, whether they are a seasoned investor building their portfolio or a first time buyer, he is there every step of the way for them. He helps people figure out what they need, want, and should avoid. Scot narrows down the search to focus on what is most important, negotiates terms of the sale, and manages the process to be as simple and stress-free as possible. He doesn't try to "sell a property" by pointing out all of the nice things. You will know what you like so he helps by bringing up potential issues so you have a realistic idea of what to expect. That's not to say he's pessimistic; just realistic, but he makes it fun during the process.
Scot Shatwell is not just a great real estate broker, but a person, too. He loves people, puppies and the planet. Scot likes to explore the world with his wife and daughter, who have been to over 25 countries together.
After earning a BA in Telecommunications from Indiana University and an MBA in management and entrepreneurship at San Diego State University, Scot sold a variety of products, freelanced in TV production, and worked as a consultant with startup companies. His passion for sustainable energy led him to help launch solar electric system sales through the Home Depot and then the first Alternative Fuel Vehicle dealership in the nation. Scot worked in the mortgage business for a few years as both a loan officer and bank rep, and then became a real estate agent. It turned out to be fun and natural, so when he became a dad, Scot took on the biggest challenge of his life as his daughter's primary caregiver, and helping people sell and buy properties in the San Diego area became a full-time career.
At home Scot likes to spend time with friends and family, watch movies, play sports with his daughter, and assist her when she gets to review movies and interview Hollywood actors, directors and producers for KidsFirst! Network. Scot's used to be an extreme sports enthusiast, but these days you are more likely to find him balancing on a mountain unicycle down a dusty hill or gardening in the backyard.
